Tempo Building Ribbon Cutting & Tandem Groundbreaking

A joint ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremony was held on April 8 to celebrate key milestones for both phases of Pennrose’s development on Parcel 9 in the 195 District. 

The first building, Tempo, is now open. The mixed-use development includes 66 mixed-income apartments, ground-floor retail, a new public plaza, and a state-of-the-art childcare center operated by Children’s Friend. The new Children’s Friend location will significantly expand the organization’s capacity to provide high-quality, affordable early childhood education and care, addressing a critical need for working families in the area. 

The second phase, Tandem, is now under construction and will feature 61 mixed-income apartments. Tandem is expected to open in 2026.
