195 District Park Pavilion - Food & Beverage Operator

The Guild Brewing Company and Seven Stars Bakery Partnership Selected as Food & Beverage Operators for 195 District Park Pavilion

Providence, RI — The I-195 Redevelopment District Commission today announced that food and beverage service at the 195 District Park has been awarded to the Guild Brewing Company in partnership with Seven Stars Bakery. The selection was made through a competitive bid process. Construction will begin in 2024.

“We are thrilled that two well-known and much-loved Rhode Island businesses have been awarded this opportunity,” said Marc Crisafulli, Chair of the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission. “The park has become a destination in Providence and the pavilion will enhance the experience for everyone who comes to enjoy this beautiful green space in our city.”

“Our goal is to bring best-in-class service and leverage our experience to make the District Park pavilion a place that celebrates community through food, beverage, music and art,” said Jeremy Duffy, Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “Through our partnership with Seven Stars Bakery, park patrons will be able to enjoy their top-of-line coffees and delicious bakery goods in the morning. At lunch and into the evening, the Guild will serve a wide-ranging menu along with their lineup of locally produced craft beers and seltzers. We are excited for this opportunity and look forward to working with the Commission to make it a reality.” 

The Guild Brewing Company was founded in 2015 by Jeremy Duffy and Devin Kelly and has three retail locations and its own portfolio of beers and hard seltzers. The Guild Pawtucket, includes a 6,000 sq ft beer hall, outdoor beer garden and private events space, The Barn. In 2020, in partnership with I-195 Redevelopment District, GBC launched The Guild PVD Beer Garden, is a seasonal beer garden along the scenic Providence River in District Park. In 2021, GBC launched The Guild Warren, is a 5,500 sq ft food forward beer hall concept located on the waterfront in Warren, RI.

Born and "bread" in Rhode Island in 2001, Seven Stars Bakery is one of the premiere artisan bakeries in the country. Seven Stars' bakers handcraft award-winning breads and pastries from scratch every day using the age-old method of slow fermentation and the finest all natural ingredients including house-milled whole grain flour. Seven Stars has five retail locations: Cranston, Rumford and three in Providence. 

The Guild Brewing Company and Seven Stars were recognized last year by the Rhode Island Hospitality Association. The Guild Brewing Company was named 2022 Brewery of the Year and Seven Stars Bakery received the distinguished 2022 Coffee House of the Year.
