Raimondo: Wexford complex a 'game changer' for R.I.

Gov. Gina Raimondo told Providence Journal reporters and editors on Tuesday afternoon that the Wexford Science & Technology innovation center that's preparing to break ground in the spring is a "game changer" for Rhode Island, poised to bring some 2,000 construction and permanent jobs.

Wexford, of Baltimore, and CV Properties, LLC, of Boston and Southport, Connecticut, are partners in the $158-million endeavor to build a 287,000-square-foot complex on portions of Parcels 22 and 25 of the former Route 195 land. Two state commissions will contribute $32.5 million to the project.
