PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation is set to consider on Monday the award of $21.5 million in incentives to three development projects in Providence, including the innovation complex that would be built on former Route 195 land by Wexford Science & Technology.
The corporation’s investment committee voted Friday in favor of all three Rebuild RI incentive packages, which will now go before the corporation’s board.
The Wexford project team would receive the largest amount of incentives — $13.5 million — for construction of a 191,000-square-foot innovation complex at a cost of $103 million.
The Cambridge Innovation Center, which offers shared working space to companies and networking opportunities, would be the largest single tenant in the complex. Brown University would also lease space.Full Story
